SPECIAL NOTIFICATION TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS (August 18, 2003)
During a critical situation such as an unscheduled Nationwide Blackout, it is essential that Hazardous Materials Transportation Companies maintain constant communication with their drivers and vehicles.
HazMat had previously instituted a communications system, and added a back-up generator to enable key HazMat personnel to maintain contact with 100% of it’s drivers and vehicles carrying your hazardous materials and hazardous waste. While many carriers could not communicate with their drivers in the Northeastern United States, HazMat was able to continue to communicate with it’s drivers because of the capital investments we have made over the years to improve our enroute transportation, communication, safety and security.
A Qualcomm Satellite Tracking Systems is installed in all our Company Owned Equipment and all our Company Drivers are trained in the use of this system and utilize the system everyday. HazMat only employs Company Drivers and Company Equipment to service our customers.
The back-up generator allows our Central Dispatch to continue to communicate with our drivers when power is interrupted for long or short periods of time.
The investments we have made over the years to improve our enroute transportation, communication, safety and security worked as planned during the Blackout.
Rest assured, we will continue to invest in the latest technology and offer our customers the safest most secure choice for your hazardous material and hazardous waste shipments.
