HazMat hosts “Share the Road” event in Buffalo (June 5, 2003)

Representatives from the American Trucking Associations conducted safety demonstrations for the public using HazMat’s facility in Buffalo, NY. Through media coverage of this event, the program is able to inform millions of motorists about road exposures involving large vehicles.

Cars and trucks are arranged to simulate highway conditions, especially exposing potential blind spots when overtaking or being passed by a large truck. Television crews record these experiences for showing on news programs and print reporters describe these encounters in newspaper articles.

HazMat personnel and equipment participated along with representatives from ATA’s “America’s Road Team”, the New York State Motor Truck Association and the New York State Police.
